Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd Initiatives:
We are committed in our involvement with our local community, and currently support a number of initiatives within the local area. To assist us in this, we use the Community Foundation for Wiltshire and Swindon to manage donations on our behalf as we recognise their expertise in assuring that our donations are used to support projects that meet the most pressing needs within a 15 mile radius of our facility. In addition, we also independently support the following initiatives:
Safe Drive Stay AliveSince 2005, HUM has invested in this innovative safety programme to fund the services of a permanent education officer within Wiltshire Fire Brigade. The scheme piloted in 2006 and was presented to 3,000 students across Swindon and Wiltshire. As an engaging roadshow, it has continued to provide a valuable educational experience that can teach young people to be safe on the roads during the early stages of their driving career. |

The Automotive Industry Charity (BEN)BEN is the UK’s dedicated charity for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries, as well as their dependants. Whether it's practical, emotional or financial support that you need, they are here to help. They also provide day, nursing and residential care across the country for older people in our communities. Honda engages significantly with BEN through HUK - we donate cars, bikes, as well as individual giving. |
