Welcome to Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd (HUM), a fully integrated car manufacturing facility based in Swindon, Wiltshire. It’s a place where our Associates work together to manufacture innovative products specifically built for the European Market. Where a passion for automotive engineering drives everything we do.

At HUM we produce the total car, from casting, engine assembly and pressing through to welding, painting and final assembly.

From the company’s early years, it was recognised that Europe embodied a truly challenging and competitive spirit. Embracing this was key to Honda realising its dream of becoming a recognised world-class car manufacturer. Also, in establishing its global operations, Honda follows a policy of manufacturing products in the regions where there is customer demand. So Europe was a natural choice.

But why Swindon? Excellent people to begin with. A workforce that made Swindon the manufacturing centre of the Great Western Railway - and set the standard for excellence in engineering. There’s also an outstanding infrastructure and first-rate communications links, as well as the Greenfield site that was perfect for our use.
